New ‘spoons’ pub draws the crowds

People queued at the doors for the opening of the new Wetherspoons Marshfield Bank Farm House pub.

More than 200 were served by lunchtime.

Manager Vicky Dixon said: “We’re thrilled. The response couldn’t have been more positive. As first days go this is phenomenal.”

Already five pages are filled in the visitor book, all glowing comments including

Crewe Mayor who performed the official opening with MP Connor Naismith.

The pub has opened following a £1.5million development project to transform the former Beefeater pub/restaurant in Coppenhall Lane.
