Colleagues at Crewe Hall put their best foot forward staging a 12-mile sponsored walk for The Wishing Well charity.

They trekked from Crewe to Nantwich where they stopped off for lunch at The Leopard pub on London Road before walking all the way back.

Foot sore and suffering a few blisters, the team led by Crewe Hall general manager Kerry Hall were delighted to conquer the challenge and are already planning to do the same again next year.

Kerry said: “Thanks to the businesses that looked after us along the way including Bridgfords, The Coop and The Leopard. The support made a real difference and helped keep us going throughout the day.

“It was exhausting but we are thrilled to have raised £600 for our charity partner.”

Wishing Well Chief Partnerships Officer Jan Melia said: “Our partnership with Crewe Hall continues to grow from strength to strength. The recent sponsored walk brought the Crewe Hall team together to raise funds for the Wishing Well.

“Huge thank you for their generosity, commitment in raising vital funds in helping us improve the health and wellbeing of local people and create opportunities for children and families to Start Well, adults to Live Well, and older people to Age Well.”

Crewe Hall will be the venue for the Cheshire East Hospitality People Awards in October which will also support the charity.

Jan added: “Hospitality plays such an important role in our local economy and community, and being part of an event that celebrates the outstanding businesses and people who make the industry what is a fantastic opportunity for Wishing Well.

“It also reflects the wider relationships and connections that our partnership with Crewe Hall continues to create.”
