True Physio nurtures fresh talent as demand for services grows
Business

True Physio has increased its numbers after a busy summer of treating everything from sports injuries to everyday aches and pains.
The physiotherapy group with clinics in Crewe, Nantwich, Sale, Lancaster, Blackburn, Skipton, Stafford, Stoke-on-Trent, Darwen and Congleton, has welcomed two new physios to its South Cheshire team as demand for treatment continues to grow.
The Crewe and Nantwich clinics have been busy helping patients get back on their feet over the summer months, with injuries ranging from sporting strains and sprains to joint, muscle and mobility issues affecting people of all ages.
General Manager Richard Whitworth said: “We always see an increase in people getting active when the weather is good, whether that’s taking up running, playing more sport, heading out on the bike or simply spending more time in the garden. Inevitably that means we see more injuries.
“It’s fantastic to be busy, but for us it’s also about making sure we have the right team in place to give every patient the time, care and expertise they need. Bringing fresh talent into the business is a big part of that. We’re proud to nurture people who are at the beginning of their careers and give them the opportunity to develop their skills alongside an experienced team.”
Joining the South Cheshire team are Aidan Hicks and Rob High – both dedicated to high standards of patient care and supporting speedy recovery.
Aidan has worked as a physio in Zanzibar, to working in professional sport, to delivering Musculoskeletal physio in the NHS community and hospitals. With additional qualifications in sports massage, acupuncture as well as strength and conditioning, Aidan has a versatile arsenal of treatment options to support the journey to recovery.
Rob graduated with a Master of Science in Physiotherapy in 2025 and holds a BSc in Sport Science. He is also a qualified Personal Trainer. There’s a strong interest in strength training and the management of chronic conditions, including tendinopathy. He is passionate about helping people reduce pain and improve function through tailored exercise prescription and hands-on treatment.
Crewe and Nantwich Clinic Manager Ben Ratcliffe added: “It’s great to see new members of the team bringing fresh ideas, enthusiasm and expertise while continuing the high standards our patients expect from True Physio.”
The Blackburn clinic has also bolstered its team by two bringing the total number of accredited physiotherapists and physical therapy specialists to 27 working across the group.
Meanwhile True Physio continues to foster links with local training centres of excellence including Keele University and regularly welcomes physiotherapy students on work placements. Many have gone on to successful careers.
Across all clinics, True Physio remains true to its core values of helping people get their pain under control and back to doing everything they love – pain-free.
