Wistaston pub reopens after major facelift

Landmark pub The Rising Sun is set to reopen on Friday (June 26) after big revamp inside and out.

Situated on Middlewich Road, the much-loved Chef & Brewer pub – part of pub company and brewer Greene King – closed down earlier this month for a ‘six figure’ renovation.

A spokesman said: “The investment will deliver improvements both inside and out, preserving the pub’s unique character whilst offering a range of modern comforts to elevate customers’ drinking and dining experiences.

“Key features will include a full refresh of the pub’s interior with an enhanced bar area, expanded seating and stylish new furnishings.

“Outside, the Rising Sun’s kerbside appeal will be boosted with updated signage, outdoor furniture and additional covers, ensuring more space for an alfresco tipple or meal in the warmer months.”
