Real ale fans raise a glass to Crewe rail heritage

Crewe Heritage Centre and CAMRA South Cheshire Branch welcomed hundreds of visitors to the 2026 Crewe Rail Ale Festival, creating a fantastic atmosphere throughout the weekend.

The event brought together families, real ale enthusiasts and railway buffs from across the country, with visitors enjoying not only the wide selection of drinks on offer but also the opportunity to explore the Heritage Centre’s unique local and railway exhibits and attractions.

Centre manager Edmea Gori said: “This year’s festival featured more than 60 real ales, alongside a range of ciders and perries, showcasing breweries and producers from across the country.

“Combined with the Heritage Centre’s historic Crewe Works setting and family friendly attractions, the festival has once again proven to be an incredibly popular event. Crewe Heritage Centre would like to thank all visitors, volunteers, brewers, traders and supporters who helped make the 2026 Crewe Rail Ale Festival such a success.

“We look forward to hopefully welcoming everyone back next year.”

Crewe Heritage Centre is part of the Crewe Open days programme taking place 11-20 September.
