South Cheshire Chamber of Commerce is set to shine the spotlight on its ‘Best in Business’ 2025.

The Chamber Business Awards, taking place at Crewe Hall on Friday, November 14 will celebrate the enterprise, achievement and innovation of businesses of all sizes.

It will be the Chamber’s 28th annual event, recognising talented newcomers as well as major employers and growing firms which contribute to the area’s economic growth.

With the deadline for entries set for noon on September 19, organisers say now is the time to get in the running. Entry is straight-forward, free and offers a fantastic marketing opportunity for South Cheshire businesses of all sizes.

This year’s event has attracted two new sponsors, DJH business advisers in Nantwich and Cheshire East Council, while others have a long association with supporting the awards.

Award categories and their sponsors are:

Ambassador of the Year: Nantwich Town Football Club

Apprentice of the Year: Reaseheath College

Business of the Year: Cheshire College South & West

Contribution to the Community (Business and Charity): Sponsored by Bentley and supported by Cheshire Connect

Employer of the Year: Assurant

Excellence in Collaboration: Cheshire East Council

Excellence in Customer Service: KPI Recruiting

International Trader of the Year: DJH Business Advisers

Small Business of the Year: Hibberts LLP

Start-up Business of the Year: South Cheshire Development Agency Limited

Chamber Chief Executive Paul Colman said:

“Already there’s a great start to our annual awards and a generous response from companies and organisations which have come forward as sponsors. Now we urge businesses trading in South Cheshire to celebrate their success by entering the Awards which offer fantastic prestige and publicity.”

The long-running awards celebrate all that is great and good about the South Cheshire business community – its resilience when times are tough, generosity towards local good causes and dedication to nurturing fresh talent.

Dominic Hibbert, Events & Marketing Coordinator, added:

“The awards play an important role in celebrating achievement and inspiring others. Quite something they have been going for almost three decades now. The Chamber has been immensely proud to see its winners go from strength to strength over the years.”

Entrants are asked about their achievements, how they attract new business, what makes their company different and any obstacles or industry issues they have overcome. Judges, drawn from sponsor organisations, will then announce their finalists on September 29.

Win or lose, the black tie ceremony is a night to remember in itself and for those who don’t make it onto the winners’ podium, there are Highly Commended certificates.
