Businesses join forces for the Corner Clean Up
Business

This Sunday a proud group of businesses will be doing their bit to tidy up their corner of Crewe and help build civic pride.
ABC Childcare is among those taking part in The Corner Clean Up round High Street.
Spokeswoman Carina Roos said: “Crewe’s High Street has been through its fair share of challenges recently. With cranes in the skyline, constant construction, and road closed signs that seem to spring up overnight, it would be easy for the area to feel overlooked.
“But instead of stepping back, the businesses of High Street and the corner of Market Street have stepped forward.
“Together, they’ve launched a brand-new initiative: The Corner Clean Up.
“This isn’t just about sweeping pavements or tidying up after the dust of construction. It’s about pride. It’s about showing Crewe that, even in the middle of change, this part of town is alive, open for business, and worth celebrating.”
Businesses joining the effort are ABC Childcare Services, Ice and Fire Studios, Big Mugs Coffee House, The Arena
Finks Theatre Academy, Mama Mia, Annas Beauty Salon, Oden Lounge, Easy Medical Ltd, High Street Car wash, One for All Supermarket, Studio Fresh and Cheshire Halaal Meat Centre.
She added: “High Street is surrounded by some of the most exciting developments in town, from the eagerly anticipated Southgate footpath linking directly into the town centre, to the Dome Youth Zone which promises to be an exciting, vibrant and wonderful space for young people.
“These projects will bring huge benefits for Crewe’s future. But in the meantime, they’ve brought with them disruption, barriers, dust, and fewer people finding their way to the shops and services here.
“Rather than let this define them, local businesses decided to define themselves.
“They’ve come together, not just to clean, but to send a message: We care about Crewe, we care about our street, and we care about the people who visit us.”
From Childcare Services, to tattoo studios and local trades, the businesses of High Street have worked together to do more than clean up, they’ve built camaraderie.
“We’ve part of Crewe’s story, and we want to keep this street beautiful and welcoming, we are proud to be here,” one business said.
Organisers say The Corner Clean Up is about more than brushes and bin bags. It’s about hope, resilience, and working together.
“It’s about reminding people that the High Street has plenty to offer right now. We offer a warm welcome, great services, and a genuine sense of community spirit.”
