Mayor’s Cadets appointed in Crewe

Crewe Town Council has announced the appointment of not one, but two Mayor’s Cadets for the 2026/27 civic year.
Following an application and interview process, RAF Air Cadets Corporal Miller Warburton and Corporal Earith have been selected for the role.
They will support the Mayor of Crewe at civic engagements and take an active part in the civic life of the town.
The appointments come at an especially fitting time, ahead of the first ever National Cadet Week, taking place from 5 to 11 October 2026, which celebrates the contribution of cadets to communities across the country.
Mayor of Crewe, Cllr Stuart Mackay, said: “I am delighted to welcome Corporal Miller-Warburton and Corporal Earith as our first ever Mayor’s Cadets.
“It is really important that young people have opportunities to be involved in the civic life of their town and to see first-hand the many different people and organisations that make Crewe what it is.
“It is particularly exciting to have two Mayor’s Cadets taking on this new role together. They will be able to share the experience and learn from each other, and I look forward to working with them as we shape the role for future Mayor’s Cadets.
“I am sure they will be fantastic ambassadors for the RAF Air Cadets and for young people in Crewe.”
The two cadets officially took up their roles on 1 October 2026, marking the beginning of their year representing the RAF Air Cadets as part of Crewe’s civic life.
