Swansway chairman and founder honoured with Lifetime Achievement Award

Swansway Motor Group Chairman and Founder, Michael Smyth, has been recognised with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Motor Trader Awards 2025.

His son, Peter Smyth, accepted the award on his behalf at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London, marking an important moment for the family run business that is proudly headquartered in Crewe.

The recognition marks more than five decades of dedication to the motor trade, during which Michael has built Swansway Motor Group into a successful family run business, known for driving forward its commitment to supporting the local communities and its friendly customer service.

Michael Smyth, Founder of Swansway Motor Group, said: “I’m truly grateful to receive this award. The motor trade has been such a big part of my life and it’s been an incredible journey to share with my family.
