Nominations are now open for the 2026 Crewe Community Awards

The ‘Community Awards: Afternoon Tea with the Mayor’ event aims to recognise the pillars of Crewe’s community for their contributions to the town. The Awards will be presented to the successful nominees on Tuesday 24th February 2026 and will be hosted by the Mayor of Crewe, Councillor Sally Graham.
Local residents will be asked to nominate individuals, groups or organisations that have made the biggest contributions to Crewe and its community.
The seven award categories include:
Mayor’s Recognition Award – Community Volunteer & Inspiring Individual
An inspirational individual who has given up their time voluntarily to undertake work in the community.
Mayor’s Recognition Award – Outstanding Organisation / Group / Charity
An outstanding organisation, group or charity that delivers services in Crewe for the benefit of the community.
Young Achiever (Under 18)
A young person under the age of 18 who has made an inspirational difference in the community.
Project – Arts & Culture
A project or initiative that has made a significant positive impact on arts and culture in Crewe. This could be any form of arts and culture, such as performing arts and visual arts.
Project – Environment
A project or initiative that has made a significant positive impact on environmental conservation and/or sustainability in Crewe.
Project – Equality, Diversity & Inclusion
A project or initiative that has made a significant positive impact on equality, diversity, and inclusion in Crewe.
Pride of Crewe – Lifetime Achievement
Recognising an individual’s continued commitment to the community over an extended period of time (over 15 years).
The Decision Panel will consist of The Mayor of Crewe, The Deputy Mayor, the Crewe Town Council Community Manager & The Market Hall, Assistant Manager.
How to nominate
Residents of Crewe can complete the nomination form, which is available on the Crewe Town Council Community Awards webpage:

The nomination forms can be submitted to Crewe Town Council in one of the following ways:
- Completed directly through the online form on the above webpage
- Completed digital versions of downloaded forms can be emailed to awards@crewetowncouncil.gov.uk
- Completed paper nomination forms can be delivered to the Crewe Town Council offices at 1 Chantry Court, Forge Street, Crewe, CW1 2DL
The closing date for nominations is midday on Thursday 29th January 2026.
A Crewe Town Council spokesperson said: “We are delighted to announce the return of the Crewe Community Awards for its second year. The Community Awards event is an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the pillars of the Crewe community who go above and beyond to make Crewe a better place to live, work and enjoy.
“Last year was our first Community Awards event and it was fantastic to be able to honour the unsung heroes in our community and show them that they are valued. We look forward to hearing about the Crewe people and organisations that have inspired you this year!”
