Working together for a stronger Crewe

One Crewe’s campaign to spread positivity is gathering momentum with businesses, organisations and local people keen to get involved.

It all began in the summer when a group of dedicated local stakeholders got together to thrash out a plan to drag Crewe out of the doldrums and shout about the good.

How would the logo look? Blue, green, round, square? Each had their own idea on branding but one thing on which we all agreed was the need to restore civic pride and celebrate Crewe’s strengths.

Why? Because by changing the narrative we have a real chance of maximising Crewe’s potential. To attract inward investment and create quality jobs. To spread pride and encourage our young talent to stay local. To make Crewe the place where people want to live and work and spend their leisure time.

And so One Crewe was born and we’re delighted at how the community has embraced the concept.

About One Crewe: One Crewe is built on core values which epitomise the town and surrounds:

People powered: Crewe has a proud industrial heritage. The people of Crewe built the town from the ground up, creating a place of celebrated businesses across all sectors including manufacturing, digital and creativity.

Crewe gets things done: There’s an active and engaged community, ready to roll up its sleeves and embrace change. People care about their green spaces, wellbeing of young people and love to nurture talent in sports.

Building connections: Crewe is a place of potential, building pathways for skills, careers and living. It joins the dots between surrounding towns, ideally positioned to benefit residents, visitors and businesses.

Green and leafy: Crewe is home to major employers of global repute. Perfectly placed for motorway and rail travel yet close to open countryside. There’s a rural vibe.

The town has taken some knocks but by joining forces we will highlight Crewe’s strengths, celebrate success, and share opportunities for growth and investment.
