After the incredible success of this year’s soapbox derby event — with more than 20 teams, thousands of cheering spectators, spectacular soapbox creations, and a town buzzing with excitement — Krazy Races is back on Sunday, May 24.

From wacky karts to hair-raising downhill action, Krazy Races is one of Crewe’s most loved family days out.

The course will once again run from Ford Lane, round the sharp Broad Street bend, through Brooklands, and across the finish line before Badger Avenue. Previous entrants have included Crewe Lyceum, AO, Crewe Heritage Centre and many others.

This year sees exciting new track enhancements – an “up-and-over” ramp, smoke effects, and added surprises.

Brooklands will once again be transformed into a vibrant event village, packed with food stalls, family entertainment.

Plans have also been unveiled for Picnic in the Park on June 20 with a jam-packed day of family entertainment in Queen’s Park and Crewe Day Festival on July 4.

Crewe Day commemorates the anniversary of the first trains passing through Crewe Station, during the opening of the Birmingham to Manchester and Liverpool line on 4th July 1837.

Crewe-on-Sea also returns this year bringing seaside fun to Lyceum Square, Bank Holiday weekend August 23-25.
