Railwaymen welcome ‘prolific scorer’

Crewe Alexandra are delighted to announce the loan signing of forward Emre Tezgel.

The 19-year-old has penned a season-long deal after an agreement was reached with Stoke City.

Tezgel, who can play as an out-and-out striker or slightly deeper, arrives with a strong reputation.

A prolific scorer at Under-21 level, he made his debut at just 16 and has gone on to make 23 senior appearances for the Potters. Last year, he hit three in five starts during a loan spell at MK Dons.

The England Under-20 international is highly rated at Stoke and signed a new two-year contract at Bet365 Stadium last month.

Now he has become Lee Bell’s fifth signing of the summer, following Josh March, Reece Hutchinson, Sam Waller, and Tommi O’Reilly.
