Physiotherapists get to grips with cutting-edge VALD technology

Physiotherapists from across the region came together at True Physio’s Crewe clinic for a specialist training session using Vertical Assessment of Landing Dynamics (VALD) technology.

Team members from the group’s 10 clinics took part in the session, exploring how the technology can provide detailed measurements of strength, movement and physical performance to support patient assessment and rehabilitation.

VALD’s systems are designed to give clinicians objective data which can help them track progress, identify areas of weakness and tailor rehabilitation programmes to individual patients.

The technology is already used by elite sporting organisations, hospitals, clinics and universities around the world, with VALD reporting more than 8,000 organisations using its systems across 130 countries.

For the True Physio team, the training provided an opportunity to build their knowledge of the technology and consider how it can be incorporated into clinical practice to help patients understand their physical performance and recovery.

General Manager Richard Whitworth said: “It was fantastic to bring physios from across our 10 clinics together in Crewe for this training. Developing our knowledge and making the most of the technology available means we can continue to provide the best possible care and rehabilitation for our patients.”
