Mid Cheshire Hospitals Charity marks 30th anniversary at Crewe Hall

Mid Cheshire Hospitals Charity celebrated its 30th anniversary with a special afternoon tea at Crewe Hall, bringing together supporters, community fundraisers, local businesses, and civic leaders to mark three decades of impact.

Guests included the Mayor of Cheshire East, the Deputy Lord-Lieutenant of Cheshire Dennis Dunn, long-standing community supporters, and partners from across Mid Cheshire.

The event was generously supported by headline sponsors D&G Office Supplies and Acorn Motor Group, and others, whose commitment made the celebration possible.

Since its founding in 1995, Mid Cheshire Hospitals Charity has worked hand in hand with its community to fund projects that go far beyond what core NHS budgets can provide. This has included everything from the small touches that make a hospital stay more comfortable, to cutting-edge clinical equipment, dedicated services, and even large-scale facilities that transform care for thousands of patients each year.

At the event, the Charity unveiled its new Moments That Matter Fund, which will continue this tradition of supporting needs of every size — from meaningful comforts for patients and families, to high-tech equipment and major projects that raise standards of care across Mid Cheshire.

Speaking at the event, Emma Robertson, Head of MCH Charity, said: “This anniversary is a wonderful opportunity to reflect on everything that’s been achieved thanks to the generosity of our community — but also to look ahead.

“The Moments That Matter Fund will ensure we can continue to make a difference at every level. From the moments that bring comfort and dignity to patients, to once-in-a-generation projects like the £1.3 billion redevelopment of Leighton Hospital.”

Looking forward, MCH Charity shared a range of ways local people and businesses can get involved, including the festive Light Up Leighton campaign to sponsor hospital decorations, organising a Wear It Festive Day on 10 December, buying or selling tickets for the Charity’s Christmas Raffle, or purchasing a gift for patients spending Christmas in hospital via the Charity’s Amazon Wishlist.

The celebration was also an opportunity to thank the hundreds of individuals, businesses, and community groups who have supported MCH Charity since its founding.
